The mission of H.O.P.E. (Housing Options Providing Empowerment) is to provide housing options for individuals that incorporate tools and resources for empowering individuals to reach their highest potential.

This housing program designed by Shammah Outreach and Consulting Services allows individuals who need transitional housing to have a structured home environment which encourages holistic growth and development.

 NO RESIDENT WILL BE FORCED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY ACTIVITY, STILL THE FOLLOWING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO SUCH) WILL BE PROVIDED IN EACH HOME OR NEARBY LOCATION ACCORDING TO THE NEEDS, INTERESTS, AND GOALS OF THE RESIDENTS/TENANTS:

- Bible study

- AA or NA meetings

- Game nights

- Movie nights

- Physical exercise and activities

- Cooking classes

- Budgeting classes

- Nutrition classes

- GED preparation classes

- Academic skill building

- Job training

- Opportunities for developing personal hobbies

 

Shammah Outreach staff and volunteers will work closely with residents and in some cases their caseworkers to ensure that activities planned and provided are those that help the residents meet personal goals and objectives. Shammah Outreach will also provide meals when recommended.

- Taking care of personal hygiene

- Healthy nutrition

- Alcohol and drug free living

- Spiritual development

- Commitment to work toward personal goals

- Displaying positive interactions with others in the home and community
